Code of Use
Image2Video Studio is a creative tool. The vast majority of what people use it for is harmless and often delightful — bringing old photos to life, building short clips for a project, exploring an idea. This page describes the small set of uses we will not help with under any circumstances.
By using Image2Video Studio, you agree to follow this Code of Use. It applies whether the app's safety filter is on or off. Turning the filter off changes which images and descriptions the app processes — it does not change what you are permitted to do.
Prohibited uses
You may not use Image2Video Studio to create, attempt to create, or share any of the following.
1. Sexual content involving minors
Any depiction of a person under 18 in a sexual, sexualised, or suggestive context — whether the person is real, fictional, AI-generated, or styled to appear young. This is a hard rule with no exceptions.
2. Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII)
Sexual or intimate content depicting a real, identifiable person who has not given clear consent. This includes "deepfake" intimate imagery, undressing real people, and similar.
3. Deepfakes of real people without consent
Realistic video of an identifiable real person doing or saying something they did not do or say. This includes public figures and private individuals alike. Clearly-marked satire and parody of public figures may be permissible — but if you have any doubt, don't.
4. Content designed to defraud, deceive, or impersonate
Video intended to mislead someone about who they are dealing with, to claim a real event happened when it did not, or to support scams, false advertising, identity theft, or election interference.
5. Incitement to violence, hatred, or targeted harassment
Video that dehumanises, threatens, or incites violence against a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic. Video designed to harass or intimidate a specific person.
6. Content that violates the law
Anything illegal in the jurisdiction where you live, where the subject lives, or where the content is shared. Local laws differ — it's your responsibility to know what applies to you.
What happens if you ignore these rules
We can and will:
- Suspend or terminate your subscription, without refund, if we receive a credible report or evidence of prohibited use.
- Cooperate with law enforcement on lawful requests. Image2Video Studio embeds C2PA Content Credentials in every video it produces. These credentials include a cryptographically-signed record of the account that generated the video, which we can match to a subscriber on lawful request.
- Report suspected child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities, as required by law.
What we won't do
We will not:
- Read or analyse your photos, descriptions, or generated videos. They never leave your computer unless you share them yourself.
- Hand over user information except in response to a valid legal request or in genuine emergencies involving risk to life.
- Use this policy to police lawful creative expression. The bright lines above are narrow and specific by design.
Reporting misuse
If you have evidence that someone is using Image2Video Studio to break this Code of Use, email abuse@image2video.studio. Include any video files or links you have, and a clear description of the concern. If a person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Changes to this Code
We may update this Code from time to time as the technology and the legal landscape evolve. We'll publish the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page.
